In the future, we can imagine more advanced robot which behave like human are staying with people and support them. This future pet is also one of those. it can sense and react like human. And it is artificial things, so it can stay more with people than real pet such as a dog and a cat
Future pet could be with us and have new application as food. So we can feed new application
to future pet and then future fat has new function and program from it. It is scared of darkness. And when it is shaken by people. It expresses
dizzy. And most of behavior is presented with
blinking light being suspended on the pet head.
I made program for reaction and sense of Futurepet in DashCode. And we built Futurepet outfit and put Arduino in it and connect LED light and sensor for light to arduino.
Noraml,, happy, scary and dizzy are main faces According to your action and environment, each different face is displyed. And when you feed food, Future pet shows eating time by graphic.
We made prototype of Future pet and try to act differently to it. This videoshows how Future pet interacts with people`s action. We found a problem of dizzy face. The prototype are a little bit heavy, so it is difficult for us to shake it easily. We need to fix it. Second video shows whole process of how to make future pet.
