When the blinds get in the building, they can use a device to find the destination. When the device operate, It recieves guidance signal from satellite to guide them. And it sends supersonic to surrounded obstacle and recieves it to define a distance and height of obstacle. So they can be aware of where obstacle is and which direction they can go with sound. Therefore designing suitable sound to guide them is important.
I designed recognizable sound for obstacles in public building to guide the blind in correct way.
To test people, I used a sleeping mask, a headphone and Music players on my computer. The music player generates suitable sound for subject. When I control the sound, the subject starts to go.
And I guide them by sound. The test is for checking whether the sound is clear for direction or not
and is pleasant or not.
