BACKGROUND
Our task in this project was to design a new kitchen product for a well known brand and I decided to develop a new concept of a kitchen scale.
The Brand and The Target Group
The product should reflect the core values of the company/brand and make kitchen work easier for the specified target group. The given brand is
PORSCHE DESIGN and my target group is 20-40 European sigle man.

Compared to the main competitors on the market, the potential gap for Porsche Design is:
High functionality with relative low price
Function Analysis
Interesting functions from the brainstorming of function analysis:

IDEATION
My direction is to realize some practical functions which can facilitate the kitchen work as well as make the cooking experience more enjoyable for the specified target group -- the single man.

Chosen Concept and Development
To some extent, the chosen concept is the combination of the other three in terms of function that included:
- two separate platforms
- two sliding dials
- display screen as well as the confirm button
- used as a music player when you turn it over (this additional function makes the product more playful for the single user)
